“I’ll live anywhere in New Zealand as long as it’s south of the Waitaki River”
Cool climate and limestone – In the late 90’s, brothers-in-lawJ eff Sinnott & Jim Jerram found a beautiful north facing slope in North Otago’s Waitaki Valley – one of only a few such sites suitable for pinot noir in New Zealand. Since 2004 this whanau-owned & operated, pioneering venture has produced a unique regional style. Long hang-times of small yields ensure distinctive aromatics, fine tannins and great length of finish.
We bring employment to a relatively remote region & we introduced a community charity fund-raising model for grape harvest in this region.
