Our Greystone journey began in 2000 when the Thomas family discovered a remarkable piece of land in the Omihi Hills of New Zealand’s Waipara Valley. The limestone-rich soils, remnants of an ancient seabed, captured our imagination and inspired us to dream big. In 2004, that vision came to life as we planted thirteen vineyard blocks across the Omihi slopes, each vine carefully placed to honor the unique soils and microclimates that define this land.
Now, more than two decades later, we remain committed stewards of this special place. Through regenerative viticulture and certified organic practices, we work in harmony with nature to craft wines that embody the true character of the Omihi Hills. This is our story—a journey we’re proud to share with the world.
