The story of Clos Ostler began in earnest 38 million years ago when geological forces drove an ancient limestone seabed upwards — today this same seabed is home to one of New Zealand’s unique wine-growing climates. At Clos Ostler, our traditional winemaking process reflects an old-world approach of minimal intervention — listening closely to our environment and trusting in the ancient forces at play every harvest — which allows us to reveal complexities from our fruit that are not seen elsewhere in the world.
Having won six consecutive gold awards at the London International Wine Challenge for our Caroline’s Pinot Noir, it appears that the world agrees.
