Rocking Pinot Experience set for Wellington
|We have an exciting announcement! A huge public Pinot Noir tasting will take place the night before Pinot Noir NZ 2017 in Wellington!Pinot Noir NZ are joining forces with Bottle Shop Concepts to deliver Pinot Palooza, the largest and most exciting public Pinot Noir tasting Wellington has ever seen.Pinot Palooza will take place on Monday 30th January 2017 with Wellington’s Waterfront being transformed into a Pinot Pavilion, with 120 of New Zealand’s top Pinot Noir producers putting on a huge wine tasting for the public.
“Pinot Palooza’s tagline is ‘wine that rocks’ so to accompany the incredible range of Pinot Noir on offer we’ll have local DJs, food trucks and sommelier ‘roadies’. It will be a great time guaranteed for everyone who comes along” says organiser Dan Sims from Bottle Shop Concepts.
Held in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide every year, Pinot Palooza debuted on the Auckland Waterfront last Saturday, 3 September, at Shed 10, but the one in Wellington is set to be the biggest yet.
Pinot Palooza will kick off Pinot Noir NZ 2017, three days described as ‘the best Pinot Noir event on the planet’ and attracts some of the world’s greatest minds and palates on the subject. Palooza will also be the beginning of a three-week celebration of Pinot Noir in Wellington city, centered on the restaurants of the region.
“Pinot Palooza and Pinot Noir NZ collaborating has happened because of the incredible enthusiasm and support of kiwi wineries for both events says Pinot Noir NZ chair Ben Glover. We like the idea of showing our wines to Pinot lovers in a unique, relaxed environment. We’re excited to see what’s in store because Dan Sims really knows how to put on a show”.
So as you can see, Wellington will be the centre of the Pinot universe come late January 2017. We hope to see you there.
