He Tangata, he whenua.

It is people, it is land.

In Aotearoa New Zealand, Pinot Noir is liquid affirmation of a close relationship between people and their land.

We treasure this relationship, and we call it kaitiaki. You can taste the care, respect, and the love in every glass.

Pinot Noir New Zealand 2025 is an opportunity to connect in person. Meet passionate Pinot Noir producers from around New Zealand’s winegrowing regions. Listen to experts from within our own shores, and those from around the world. Find out firsthand why New Zealand Pinot Noir is so distinctive and what makes us so proud of our wines that can be found in just about every corner of the world.

Rigorous site selection, always a crucial factor in producing outstanding wine, will see Pinot Noir NZ 2025 take place in Ōtautahi Christchurch. This is the first time the event will be held in New Zealand’s South Island, an exciting and stunningly beautiful destination for visitors.

For three days (11-13 February 2025) the city of Christchurch will host a community of souls united by their reverence for Pinot Noir. Get set to engage, listen, taste, give, receive, and learn. After the last few years of delays, we promise generous helpings of whanaungatanga*, reconnection, kinship, and hospitality – giving you every opportunity to mix and mingle. Our aim is to leave you with lifelong memories, new friends and a burning desire for just one more drop of New Zealand Pinot Noir.

*Whanaungatanga (noun): relationship, kinship, sense of family connection – a relationship through shared experiences and working together which provides people with a sense of belonging.
